Forgotten Paws Pet Rescue is made up of a very small group of volunteers. We all work full time jobs while running this rescue group. We all dip into our own pockets on a daily basis to get these pets the medical care and supplies that they need to survive until we can find them their forever homes. Unfortunately, some of them have to wait in line for care because we do not have the monetary means to help them immediately. That is where your donations come in. Our rescued pets live in our homes, under our supervision. We do our best to train, housebreak and prefect these pets to the best of our abilities so that when we do find them their forever homes, they work out. We at Forgotten Paws revere our rescued pets like our own. We treat them like members of our families until they can be adopted. We are a NO KILL group and we also ask that if a pet does not work out for any reason, 2 days or 10 years down the road, please return them to us. We love them that much. Our motto: When we rescue a pet, we are in it for life. We are not just looking for a home, we are looking for the right home.

How are my donations tax deductible? For all donations under the amount of $250, you may use your check or PayPal receipt as your tax receipt. However, Forgotten Paws Pet Rescue will send you a receipt for your donation . Only donations which do not receive anything in return can be used as a tax deduction. For example, the adoption fee paid for a pet is not tax deductible because the fee is directly connect to "merchandise" according to the federal government. How do I make a donation? There are three ways to make a tax deductible donation to Forgotten Paws. .....1) you can mail a check. Please note: this address is a residence. Please do not drop a dog off at this location or come to visit pets. We will hopefully soon be able to afford a PO BOX! How do I find out if my company offers a Match-Gift Program? An easy way to double or even triple your donation to Forgotten Paws is to find out if your company has a matching-gift program. Such programs typically match all or a percentage of employee contributions to charitable organizations, making the employer a partner in employees' personal philanthropy. Simply obtain a matching-gift form from your employer's personnel office, fill it out, and provide it to Forgotten Paws with your contribution First, start with your Human Resources manager. This person will usually have the information you are looking for or can direct you to the right person. Most companies have a simply form you fill out or that is mailed to Forgotten paws. We fill in the form with a copy of your donation receipt or check and they mail us a check to match the percentage they offer. We know many companies offer this program. If your company does, please let us know so we can compile a list of companies who support their smaller local charities. View a list of Companies we know will match your taxt deductale contribution to Forgotten Paws Make a Gift Pledge for yourself or in honor of someone else Forgotten Paws welcomes your gift through a pledge — a formal statement of intention to make a gift to the group. With a pledge, you may complete your gift by making regular payments over time, allowing you to give more generously than you originally may have considered. What is more, each payment on your pledge is eligible for an income-tax charitable deduction. |
