Foster Home Notes: Jodie is a wonderfully sweet little girl who love to play with toys nd also loves to get lots of attention. She is very smart and learning quickly. Since we just took Jodie in, she has had very little in her life up until now but we are working hard to teach her the basics. She is doing great on her housetraining but still wants to stand up to check out things on tables that are not hers. We do crate her when no one is home and she goes in her crate on her own. She sleeps in her crate as well and most likely will need to continue this for a few more months while she matures and learns the rules. Jodie loves the other dogs and she loves her toys. She is such a happy go lucky girl who just needs someone to love and pamper her!

Foster Home Notes: Bunny is sweet, smart, funny and goofy all rolled into one. She absolutely loves people and other dogs. We have not met any cats yet. Bunny loves to run and play and really enjoys the outdoors. She is a puppy still and since she was in the county shelter from 3-6 months of age, she has a little pend up puppyhood. She absolutely loves her toys, ball, ropes, bones, she is not picky. She is a very good girl and makes me laugh everyday. She goes in her crate when told but if she doesn't want too, she will lay down submissively and kick her little leg out to the side and give me her best, "no mommy I am too cute" look. She is a great dog! Bunny needs to be crated for a few more months when unattended. She needs someone who wants a puppy to train and spend time with. She really needs someone to give her hugs and tell her what a pretty girl she is. You will love this girl if you meet her! (note: her brother is listed below: Clyde)

Foster Home Notes: Clyde is so precious. He is submissive in may ways but only b/c he isn't sure of his daily routine yet. He is a puppy at heart but so smart and learning quickly. He was in the shelter from 3-6 months of age so he has really enjoyed his last month here at the rescue being able to run and play and bask in the sun. Clyde listens well and is very smart. He was so funny on Christmas b/c he ran into the room and would grab a toy then retreat to his blanket in the kitchen. Then he would come back and get another one. Within minutes, half the Santa toys were on his blanket! LOL Clyde may need a home with a fenced in yard or someone to teach him to leash walk. I think he was dragged around at the shelter and thus hits the floor when you put a leash on him. He is learning though.

Foster Home Notes: Teddy is an angel. He is so sweet and gentle. He rolls over submissively for belly rubs and follow me happily whenever I call him. He likes ot lay on the blanket under the table and just watch everyone but he has started to pounce and play. He is great with steps and going potty when told. He loves to walk on the leash but fast cars make him pull away from the road. Teddy is content laying around chewing on a bone or basking in the sun on the deck. He is curious about the kitchen and knows that is where his food comes from so on occassion he will stand up and peek at the countertop but he gets down immediately when told. He is a great dog who will be great with kids. He is also great with all my other dogs.

Foster Home Notes: Brandy is a very sweet girl with a goofy personality and lots of love to offer. She wiggles her butt and wags her tail although she never really raises it very high. She is a happy girl but shy of new things. She loves all the volunteers that come to the kennel house and will wiggle up to them and stand on her hind legs for love and attention. But, if you move too fast, she will run. Brandy finds a safe spot to lay in and retreats to this spot when she gets stressed. She is far more comfortable when out in the yard and will play. She needs a home with dog experience and who can work with her to build her confidence.

SPECIAL NEEDS: Brandy will need a home with patience to allow her several weeks to get adjusted. She needs someone with dog experience, a fenced back yard and possibly another dog to follow around. We placed her in a new home for one week. During that time, she loved the husband and played with the other dog when outside. Inside, she hid alot and would bark at the other dog if she entered her safe space. She did this when she first came here and then she realized no one was going to hurt her. She will need someone to commit at least 2-3 weeks of trial time to let her get adjusted and settled in. She is VERY WORTH IT!

Foster Home Notes: Alexis is a wonderful girl and very smart. She is good with the other dogs, does not jump the short fence, loves to sit and lean against your leg while being petted and sits on command. She loves to play fetch and listens very well. She needs a home who is active and has dog experience as her breed is rather special. Alexis is great with other dogs but will bark and drag you to another dog while out on leash. Alexis also requires a dog door. She has had potty issues in the past but has figured it out since we put in the dog door. She usually only make it a few feet out onto the deck but it is outside!. She just seems to not know she has to go until she has to go immediately. I have worked hard to break Alexis of her potty issues b/c she lived in a shelter for 6 months before we got her and she learned to potty in her run.

Foster Home Notes: Callie is a wonderfully sweet girl with a heart of gold and eyes that can give you that "I am pitiful" look on que. She will comes up to me and stand up gently b/c she wants to be hugged and have her belly rubbed. Her old mom used to do this with her. She is very gentle, listens well and loves to cuddle. She gets along great with all my dogs, big or small and especially loves to wrestle with daphne, listed above. Her other best friend is any of the small dogs. She is very gentle when playing with the tiny dogs. She also loves to go on car rides, listens well off leash as long as she is not left unattended or she will run off. She always wants to go places but then seems concerned when we get there. She just has not been out much since she grew up on a chain. Callie is currently on fish oil to try and get her coat back to beautiful. Her hair is so thin that every single scatch from playing shows. Don't let her breed or color deter you. This is a great dog!

Foster Home Notes: Fritter is a precious, funny little man. I call him the Oompa Loompa of the doggie kingdom. He has the shortest legs, a waddle walk and a big smile on his face. Fritter also has the most soulful eyes and he knows how to use them. He loves to sit in my loft area and just look down on the other dogs all day. He also likes to eat all their food! Fritter loves everyone he meets. I make him sit before I pet him or he will stand up on my leg begging to be loved. He loves to go for walks and needs a home to give him a set amount of daily food and daily walks. He will sleep next to my bed at night or he will happily go into a crate when he wants some peace and quiet. He just wants to see everyone who will pet him. He is great with my other dogs but does not play at all. All he really wants is to be loved. He enjoys just sitting next to me on the couch and watching television.

Foster Home Notes: Really, what can I say about a precious little puppy like this! She is very smart and she knows to cry to get out of her crate. Then she runs down the hall and out the backdoor with me each morning to go potty. If I take her outside and tell her to potty, she goes. But of course she doesn't know the rules yet and still has accidents in the house if I don't take her out every hour or so now. She love to play and hide under the bed. She will hide and bark at the big dogs when they stick their noses under looking for her. She runs out and runs around and if she doesn't get tackled, she is back under the bed. LOL She is a chewer and you have to watch your electrical wires closely and your shoes. I lost a cheap flip flop the first day! Ashley will need someone to spoil her rotten and teach her all the things she needs to know about that big world our there. She is great with everyone, people, dogs and even the cat!

SURGERY and HEARTWORM TREATMENT NEEDED IMMEDIATELY! PLEASE DONATE!!!

Foster Home Notes: Grant is a sweet boy who loves to play fetch and tug of war. He is great with most of my other dogs with exception of my old grumpy male dogs who growl at him. You can tell that Grant has been abused b/c any time I move something wuckly near him, he ducks, cries and runs out of the way. If I raise my voice, he runs to his bed. He is slowly getting better with this but still reacts and runs or just hits the ground. He has been abused but it has not changed how much he loves everyone he meets. All he wants is to be loved and spoiled rotten. Grant needs a leg surgery and he is heartworm positive. He needs an FHO b/c the femoral head of his rear right leg is completely separated from his hip joint and it is painful for him. We are trying to raise the money to get his surgery as soon as possible. Grant is also Heartworm Positive as well, but the medication for treatment is onhold from the manufacturer. This poor boy needs help. To donate to Grant please go to the link on the left hand side of this page.

Foster Home Notes: Lizzy is a very happy dog, and she gets even happier when her foster parents come home. At home she is always by their side. She is very quiet, gentle and calm. She also loves to give kisses.

Lizzy is very social and gets used to new people instantly. She loves it when you talk to her. She currently is fostered with 3 cats and another dog and is loving life. Lizzy loves to walk around the neighborhood on a leash, play with other dogs, and to just bask in the sun in the backyard. She is fine with walking in any weather and is not afraid of rain. However, she is terrified of thunderstorms and will hide under the bed during them.

She does not play with toys but does love a good chew bone. Lizzy is completely house trained and will hold it until you come home from work in the evening. In the morning she waits until you get up, and will not wake you up if you are not an early riser.
She know where her "place" is and sleeps on her own bed. However, she loves it when you allow her to curl up on your bed with you. If you don't want her to jump on the bed, she will not do it. She is just the perfect companion

Foster Home Notes: Tyler is a an angel. He is so sweet and smart and strives to be a lap dog if only he could find the person to hold him. Tyler is great with other dogs, kids, all people and possibly cats. I have not had him around cats yet though but his disposition is wonderful. I do crate Tyler while I am not home but only b/c I crate all my dogs. He goes in his bed and sleeps even when I am home. He loves to play outside and lay in the sun on the deck. You will not find a better dog!

Tyler needs a home with a tall fence or leash walking. He laughs at babygates and short fences. He would be great in a home with kids as well but this is not required.
