Scrappy

Foster Home Notes: Scrappy is a joy to have in my house. He is so cute and still playful. He loves his toys and plays fetch. He is also best friends with my little dog and they play and follow each other around the backyard. Scrappy was curious about my cats for the first few weeks but once they started hanging out around him he was fine. he just wanted to know what was hiding under the bed! I have to watch him b/c he will eat strange things sometimes, like tissues and things for no reason at all. He is still a baby at heart and so emotional. If he gets scolded he rolls over and shows me his belly then runs to his bed to hide. I swear I am not yelling at him just pointing with a tone in my voice!! LOL Scrappy needs a home with no kids or older kids. Someone who understands that when people come to visit, they should not hover over him or lunge at him to pet him. Give him time to come to you and you will be his best friend.

Dexter

Foster Home Notes: If you have a fence, is must be 6 feet tall, even on his little legs, Dexter can jump a 4 foot fence. Dexter is very playful and loving to everyone he meets. He loves to play with the other dogs and would do best in a home with another dog or with someone who is active and home alot. Walks well on a leash and would be perfect companion for hanging out at the corner bakery (once he has played out his energy of course!) Dexter thinks he is a lap dog. He lives with some very tiny dogs so he thinks he is 10 lbs just like them. He love to cuddle but he also loves to play fetch and bounce around. You must be willing to accept both worlds!

Probie

Foster Home Notes: Probie is a sweet little man who loves to sit with his paws in your lap or next to you as long as he can lean on you to be close. He listens well and is very smart and loyal. When he is out of food or water you know it b/c he will toss his bowl around making noise until you fill it up! I love when I fill the water bowl and he licks his lips in anticipation. Probie just wants to be loved. I have never seen a dog so committed and loyal to his person as Probie. He follows me everywhere and just quietly watches me. He loves to go for walks and to the dog park. He enjoyed his stay at Doggie Day Care when I was out of town and didn't seem to want to leave! Probie needs another dog in his household b/c if he is the only dog he gets protective when visitors arrive. When with another dog, he is calm b/c it isn't his "job" to protect. Probie loves to chase balls but doesn't always bring it back. He will need leash walking or a tall fence b/c he can jump a 4 foot fence. I do not crate Probie when I am gone but he does like a crate if you wanted too. He sleeps where ever he wants and normally I find him on the foot of my bed.

Flossy

Foster Home Notes: If you have a fence, is must be 6 feet tall. Flossy is a high energy little girl full of love but full of spunk. She is too smart for her own good and gets bored easily. She needs a home who likes to go for stimulating walks and do new things. Flossy gets bored in her foster home although there are two little girls and another dog. She waits until she has a chance to dart out the front door and then she loves to explore. She needs a home where this does not happen b/c she has no respect for cars and refuses to come home until she is tired. She is going to get herself killed. The fact is, she is bored. If she was walked and worn out, there would be no need for this behavior.

Flossy loves children, is great with them. She currently sleeps on her little girls bed and loves being near them when they are home. She listens well when in the house and goes in her bed when told. She loves to held and cuddled too b/c she is told she is a princess. She is a great dog who just needs the right home!

Abby

Foster Home Notes: Abby is a doll baby who loves to stare at you. You will feel like you are being watched and sure enough, you look down and she is staring with her soulful little eyes wanting to be held. Abby is a love bug, and very playful. She loves other dogs and toys. She has recently learned to walk on a leash.

Alexa

Foster Home Notes: Alexa is a big girl full of love and kisses. She loves to eat so she needs a home who can monitor her food and take her for walks to get her skinny again. She has a great personality and just loves to be held or to sit by your side and watch television. She is very smart and is housebroken if you keep her on a solid schedule. She is totally puppy pad trained but would prefer to go outside. She is crate trained now but you have to take her outside immediately when you get up. She still has an accident on occassion but when kept on a solid schedule she is great. Her foster home works from home so many times the door is kept open and Abby knows to go outside to do her business.

Annie

Foster Home Notes: Annie is a tiny little baby. She is very shy and always has been. She is not leash trained. When we put her on a leash, she crawls on her belly but she is getting better and when we can walk her with one of her sisters she follows them. She needs a home with no small children who will be loud and want to carry her around. She needs a nice home who will just pamper her and love her for the sweet, shy, little girl she is.

Maggie

Foster Home Notes: Not a day goes by that Maggie doesn't bring a smile to my face. She is so sweet and goofy. She is one of the smartest dogs I have ever met as well. Maggie enjoys going for walks or I take her to the quiet dog park where she can run and sniff. She certainly has a nose on her. Once we had a "visitor" under the house and we knew it because Maggie kept staring at the air vents! She is a very sensitive girl and if you raise your voice, she will tuck her tail and go to her bed, then come bouncing out minutes later like nothing happened. She can be shy with strangers and needs time to warm up. Once she warms up though, I hope they are dog people b/c she will follow them around smiling. In the first small photos above, she had lost her ball under that dresser and while trying to get it, she just got tired and decided to take a nap! LOL She is great with all dogs and is very submissive. She ignores that cat. I need to find her a new foster or permanent home though b/c my larger dogs want to pick on her and Maggie no longer plays b/c she is looking over her shoulder.

Susie

Foster Home Notes: Susie is a very sweet little dog but it takes her a little while to get warmed up to you. She will bark at strangers at first but then take treats. Once she knows you though, she loves you! She is a lap dog and loves to be loved. Her previous owner spoiled her and held her all the time. Unfortunately, he never went anywhere and few poeple came to visit him so Susie was never really socialized. She needs a home who has experience with shy dogs and can help her learn that there is more to life them her tiny little world. She is a love bug and well worth it.

Susie's human dad has alzheimers and has been moved to an assisted living facility. She and her mother, Lady (listed above), were left to live in the garage of his house for 6 months ALL ALONE. A relative came over to feed them and let them out every few days! They are now in a group home at Forgotten Paws but we desperately need to find them a home or foster home separately b/c they do not like each other!

Ziggy

Foster Home Notes: Ziggy is a very sweet boy who loves to be held and follows me everywhere. He loves his little dog bed and chew bone and he goes outside when told. He is good with kids (over 8 is all we have seen him with) and he ignored my cat completely.

Ziggy has a special personality trait which will scare alot of people off. He is a talker when you pet him. He growls and sounds ficious and has even shown me his teeth but no matter what I do to him, he just wants to be petted and never ever snaps. When I stop petting him, he stops growling so I think he just has come from a home where he was physically hurt alot and not loved on. We will work hard to break him of this but hopefully someone will be able to see what a doll baby he is and how much love he has to offer!

Jojo

Foster Home Notes:If you have a fence, is must be 6 feet tall, this boy has found ways of jumping privacy fences for fun. Jojo is alove bug full of playful energy and lots of personality. He loves to play fetch is the fast dog I have ever seen when running. He loves his toys, stuffed animals, bones, balls, whatever. I give him an empty water bottle and he is in heaven! Jojo is also a huge lap dog and will not be able to be trained to stay off the bed or furniture. I have had Jojo for 6 months and I know his personality very well. He is a great great dog but can be a little stubborn. If I am ready for him to go in his crate and he is not, he will stand across the room, and flip over and show me his belly. I have to go pick him up! He loves all dogs, chases the cat, and loves all people. Jojo needs an active home who can wer him out. FENCED YARD is required b/c he is a little scared on leash and barks at everything. He gets destracted and won't potty plus he needs room to run and play ball!

Sarge (adoption pending)

Foster Home Notes: Sarge is a wonderfully sweet little man. He listens well and is just a bundle of love. He loves his toys and playing with the other dogs. It takes him a little while to get used to other dogs but once he settles in he is best friends. Sarge is still a huge puppy at heart. He spent his puppyhood locked in a tiny crate with no love, playtime or training so he is starting over and trying to catch up now. When we got Sarge he could barely walk 30 feet without laying down to rest b/c his muscles where so atrophied from being crated 24/7. Now he runs and plays and loves to go for walks. He is afraid of cars when they pass him so he needs to adjust to that as well. Sarge is 99% housebroken. If I keep him on a consistent potty schedule he does great. I now have a dog door though so he goes when he pleases. After all, he learned to potty in his crate for the first 10 months he was alive! :( Sarge just needs someone to love him and spend time training him to be confident.

Tiko

Foster Home Notes: This tiny little man is so precious. He loves to be held and gives little kisses. he has not seen much in life since he spent the last year on a chain in the backyard or in a tiny crate in the garage at his old home. Now he is loving life and all the new smells and sights. You can see it in his face when we go places. He is so curious about all this stuff going on! Tiko sleeps on the bed, sits in your lap and loves to explore outside. You have to leash walk him or have a secure fenced yard b/c he is so tiny he can fit through anything and his new found freedom makes him want to explore. Once he gets settled in to a new home I think this will change. Tiko just needs someone to spoil him, buy him sweaters and give him lots of love.

Daisy Grace

Foster Home Notes: Daisy Grace is a sweet little girl. She used to be very shy of new people but now she likes everyone. It may take her a minute or two to come to you but she wants too. She is a good girl who loves to be loved, is good with other dogs and might be okay with cats if given a chance. She spends her days lounging in the sun with her big lab brother (also available on large dog page, named Bud). Sadly her mother was no longer able to keep her so she is now looking for a new home. Daisy Grace has spent the majority of her time outside but does well when let inside. She longs for a warm home with a nice dog bed and toys of her own.
