Stella

Foster Home Notes: Stella is a precious little girl who will love anyone who will love her back. She loves to be held and go for walks. She gets in your lap as soon as you sit down and she sleeps in the bed at her foster home. She is tall but dainty and looks like a little angel in pink. :) Stella is good with other dogs and with cats but she needs time to adjust. Once she knows they won't hurt her she loves to play. If the other dog tires, she turns to the cats! She is a great little dog! Stella would be fine in a home with a fenced yard or leash walking. She needs a home where doors are not held open though b/c she will run outside and she is fast!

Medical: Stella is currently recovering from Demodex which is a type of mite that all dogs have but in some dogs who go through very stressfu l events (i.e. the kill shelter), the immune system suppresses under stress and the mites take over. This is NOT contagious to people or pets but does cause hair lose. Stella currently has hair lose around one eye and a few spots on her face and head which is typical of Demodex. She is being treated every two weeks with medication which will be supplied to the new home until she is better.

Jojo

Foster Home Notes: Jojo is a fun, high spirited boy. He loves to play and is constantly chewing on a rope or a bone. His favorite game is keep away where he will grab a toy and run all over the yard or house wanting someone to chase him. He will go stand and stare at the other dogs like he is saying "look what I have, don't you want it!" . He loves to play fetch too. Jojo is a great cuddler and loves to sit next to you and lean on you to nap or get lots of snuggles. He is an active boy who really does need another dog to play with or an active home. He is very smart and a smart bored dog will get himself into all sorts of things. Jojo is a little aloof when he first meets new people. He loves anyone who will give him attention but he is more interested in the new things around him. So at adoptions, he ignores people who want to meet him b/c there is just so much to do and see and smell!

Jojo needs a home where doors are not held open. He would also do best in a single family home and not an apartment or condo. When he is ready to get out of his crate, he makes a lot of noise!

Probie

Foster Home Notes: Probie is a sweet little man who loves to sit with his paws in your lap or next to you as long as he can lean on you to be close. He listens well and is very smart and loyal. When he is out of food or water you know it b/c he will toss his bowl around making noise until you fill it up! I love when I fill the water bowl and he licks his lips in anticipation. Probie just wants to be loved. I have never seen a dog so committed and loyal to his person as Probie. He follows me everywhere and just quietly watches me. He loves to go for walks and to the dog park. He enjoyed his stay at Doggie Day Care when I was out of town and didn't seem to want to leave! Probie needs another dog in his household b/c if he is the only dog he gets protective when visitors arrive. When with another dog, he is calm b/c it isn't his "job" to protect. Probie loves to chase balls but doesn't always bring it back. He will need leash walking or a tall fence b/c he can jump a 4 foot fence. I do not crate Probie when I am gone but he does like a crate if you wanted too. He sleeps where ever he wants and normally I find him on the foot of my bed.

Flossy

Foster Home Notes: Flossy is a sweet, funny little angel. She listens well and goes in her crate when told. She loves to sit next to me in the chair and supervise all the other dogs but she also loves to be outside and has explored every inch of my yard on a daily basis. She is very unique and I know of only one other dog who looks like her. Flossy just wants someone to spent time with her and love her. She is currently in a foster home with 2 young girls who spoil her and treat her like a princess (see dog bed!). She is very smart but you have to be careful b/c she will take off running if she gets out the door.. She would be great leash walked but if you have a fence, it needs to be tall or wooden or both.

Maggie

Foster Home Notes: Not a day goes by that Maggie doesn't bring a smile to my face. She is so sweet and goofy. She is one of the smartest dogs I have ever met as well. Maggie enjoys going for walks or I take her to the quiet dog park where she can run and sniff. She certainly has a nose on her. Once we had a "visitor" under the house and we knew it because Maggie kept staring at the air vents! She is a very sensitive girl and if you raise your voice, she will tuck her tail and go to her bed, then come bouncing out minutes later like nothing happened. She can be shy with strangers and needs time to warm up. Once she warms up though, I hope they are dog people b/c she will follow them around smiling. In the first small photos above, she had lost her ball under that dresser and while trying to get it, she just got tired and decided to take a nap! LOL She is great with all dogs and is very submissive. She ignores that cat. I need to find her a new foster or permanent home though b/c my larger dogs want to pick on her and Maggie no longer plays b/c she is looking over her shoulder.

Jordon

Foster Home Notes: Jordon is a very sweet little man who just loves his person more then anything in the world. His ideal home would be someone who is home alot, either working from home or retired. He loves to go for walks and shopping at the pet store. He loves to sit next to you and watch television. When I come home at night he happiliy prances up to me, stands on my leg and gives me lots of kisses. Jordon has to be crated when you leave b/c he will get mad and potty in the house when you leave him. He can be gated somewhere as well. When you are home, he is a perfect angel. He just needs to get settled somewhere and be loved.

Lady

Foster Home Notes: Lady is a cute, sweet little lady. She loves belly rubs and taking naps. He also enjoys a nice walk in the evening to see all the sites. Lady loves to sit your lap and lay her head on your leg. She would love to be in a home where she could sleep on the bed but at my house, she also loves her little stuffed bed in the corner. Lady loves everyone she meets. She is very smart and listens well. She enjoys toys on occassion and the occassional raw hide or bone. She is okay with other dogs but will protect her treats from them. She would have to be in a home with a very submissive dog. She has no issues over normal food just special things she gets on occassion. For this reason ONLY, we would like her to not be with small kids

She is a great walking partner or she can be content to lay on the deck all day and get some sun. She is pretty mellow most of the time and just needs someone to retire with. Someone who will overlook her age and realize that she still needs love.

Lady's human dad has alzheimers and has been moved to an assisted living facility. She and her daughter, Susie (listed below), were left to live in the garage of his house for 6 months ALL ALONE. A relative came over to feed them and let them out every few days! They are now in a group home at Forgotten Paws but we desperately need to find them a home or foster home separately b/c they do not like each other!

Susie

Foster Home Notes: Susie is a very sweet little dog but it takes her a little while to get warmed up to you. She will bark at strangers at first but then take treats. Once she knows you though, she loves you! She is a lap dog and loves to be loved. Her previous owner spoiled her and held her all the time. Unfortunately, he never went anywhere and few poeple came to visit him so Susie was never really socialized. She needs a home who has experience with shy dogs and can help her learn that there is more to life them her tiny little world. She is a love bug and well worth it.

Andrew Adoption Pending

Foster Home Notes: Andrew is about 10 months to a year old and 25 lbs. He is currently as tall has he will get but will fill out more. He is a love bug who loves to sit in your lap and sleep on the bed. He is playful and smart and he loves his toys. Andew is still a puppy so he has to be crated or gated when you are not home and he needs lots of chew toys and play things to keep him busy. He is good with dogs, cats and kids.

Andrew needs a home where he is leash walked or has a secure fenced in yard. He is small and smart and has gotten out a few times from his foster mom's!!

Doogie

Foster Home Notes: Doogie is a funny pudgy little chihuahua who spends his days eating then sleeping in bed under the covers. He loves to go out and run around and get you to chase him. Sometimes I will chase him a few feet and he runs down the hall, then I turn and walk away and he chases me. Then I chase him, etc etc. At night, he will get this hilarious spurts of energy and run circles around the bed barking his little tiny bark. He will run and roll and run. Most of the time though, Doogie just wants to hang out and sleep, look out the window or be held in your lap. He is a great little chihuahua for one person!

Doogie's Issues: Doogie attach's himself to one person. When people come to the house, he will sniff then but not let them touch him. Then he goes off and hides. If his person is holding him and someone reaches in to pet him, he will snap at them. He needs to be in a home that understands this chihuahua personality type and can keep Doogie safe by not putting him into situation that give him an opportunity to be protective. He is so cute and he goes right to sniff people so you have to be on your toes when you are out and about b/c everyone wants to pet him!

Buckey

Foster Home Notes: Buckley is a very sweet little man who is young in age but has an old soul. He loves to play with his best friend Ashley and he listens very well but there is something in him that is just very old and aged. The way he looks at me and the way he moves slowing away if i reach for him. He is very unsure of life in general and I think he is afraid of being hurt. When I try to pet him, he goes under the bed or walks away but he loves to come up and curl up next to me for a nap. He follows me and wants to see what I am doing as well. Buckley has only been here for two weeks so he is just very confused. I think he needs a home with a tall fence or leash walking. A home without small kids only b/c they are loud and he is so mellow and timid of loud things. Otherwise, this boy is a perfect angel and I could hug him all day long!

Patty

Foster Home Notes: Patty is a sweet little thing in dire need of a home who can walk her daily and monitor her food intake. She is dangerously oveweight and could hurt her back at any moment!!! Patty is sweet, smart and so very loving. She is great with dogs, cats and kids! Today I saw her bring a little blue ball she found in the yard into the house. She was so cute waddling along with that ball in her mouth. She took it to her bed and just laid with it! Patty needs a home without a lot of steps for now. She can do them but it is an aerobic workout for her at this time. Can you help Fatty Patty??
