Meet Katie!

Katie is sweetheart who will absolutely steal your heart once she feels safe. She’s playful, and smart—BUT SUPER SHY OF NEW PEOPLE AND THINGS! She needs a very special home to thrive.

Requirements for Katie’s New Home:

• Another playful dog to be her buddy
• A fenced yard (she doesn’t do leashes yet)
• Sleeping on the bed with her people
• A patient person willing to let her blossom at her own pace

Katie plays her little heart out with her doggie siblings—chase and tug-of-war are her favorite games! She also loves to curl up in your lap or snuggle right against you at night.  She is housebroken but cannot be crated (she panics and screams), so a crate-free home is a must. Katie also does not walk on a leash. 

Katie is very shy with new people and new situations. She won’t warm up instantly, but with time, patience, and love, she will come around—and when she does, you’ll see her sweet, silly, loving side shine through. She is a dog that will take WEEKS if not MONTHS to be completely comfortable in a new home.  I think she lived on her own for a long time before coming to us.
