Meet Barkley 🐾💙

Barkley is a handsome, loyal boy in search of a very special forever home. He has no medical issues—all of his challenges are behavioral, and with the right person, he has the potential to thrive.

Barkley listens well, enjoys the company of other dogs, and loves to curl up on the bed. He’ll happily play with toys too. But because of his past, he struggles with handling—he cannot have his feet touched, and he must be muzzled for vet visits.

Abandoned at a kill shelter for being “not good with kids,” Barkley was rescued and has been with us for a couple of years. Life in the kennel is overwhelming for him; he’s often on high alert. We know he will flourish in the right home—a patient, experienced person who can give him the structure, security, and love he’s been waiting for.
