Harry is a fabulous dog with the people he knows but very protect of his home and of me whenever strangers even come to the gate and I’m standing there. BUT if we stand there a while and chat, then he will stand up on the gate and want to be petted.
We know he needs someone with a lot of experience to continue his socialization. We know if he meets someone on a Tuesday there is no guarantee he will automatically remember then I Wednesday so intros have to happen every single time someone visits the house.
To be totally honest, it really sucks bc he is such a great dog! He good with everyone at the kennel house. He loves to snuggle with the other dogs and me. He’s housebroken, crate trained and listens well. He stayed with a cat for a couple of weeks and ignored it.
