Joey is a sweet, affectionate boy bursting with love and personality. We don’t know much about his past—only that he and his siblings were found dumped behind a dumpster. Despite everything, Joey’s gentle heart shines through. He can be a little skittish around loud noises and brooms, but he absolutely adores affection and has the cutest little wiggle butt when he’s happy.

Unfortunately, Joey is heartworm positive and is currently in the first phase of treatment, which involves daily medications. To continue with the next phases—which include injections—Joey urgently needs a calm foster or adoptive home where he can rest, relax, and be spoiled with love.

He’s not high-energy right now and would do best in a mellow environment where he can just hang out, feel safe, and start the next chapter of his healing journey.
